Role Overview
As a Security Officer Supervisor you will lead and support security operations on remote sites ensuring compliance with safety protocols and delivering a high standard of service. This role requires strong leadership communication skills and the ability to work in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate security team activities on site.
- Conduct regular foot and mobile patrols.
- Respond to fire/security alarms anti-social behaviour room lockouts and administer basic first aid.
- Perform gatehouse and access control duties.
- Monitor CCTV systems and report incidents.
- Provide basic crowd control when required.
- Compile security audits and incident reports.
- Ensure compliance with company and client safety standards.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Security Supervisor.
- Minimum 2 years FIFO security experience.
- Cert II in Security Operations.
- Current Security Officer Licence and Crowd Control Licence.
- Manual Drivers Licence.
- National Police Clearance
- White Card RSA Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
- Ability and willingness to complete prerequisite training:
- Snake Handler Certificate of Competency
- Drug & Alcohol Screening Training
- Driver Training
- Fire Response Training
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in remote locations under extreme weather conditions.
Desirable Qualifications
- MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card).
- Aviation Screening Qualification.
- Operate Light Vehicle Certification.
- Fire Extinguisher Training.
- CCTV and Operations Centre experience.
- Confined Space Emergency Training (PUAWER008B).
- Traffic Management Training (RIIWHS302D).
- Previous Defence Force or Police experience.
- ESH (Environment Safety & Health) qualifications.
