Overview
Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a potential future position as a Security Specialist (Contractor Military & Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) Processing Support)working as part of a vibrant team on a contract providing cybersecurity and infrastructure protection services in support of an Intelligence Agency customer. All the personnel on the team will work collaboratively to support the mission and protect the agencys personnel facilities information and systems. This includes delivering expert guidance and oversight to ensure a robust and effective protection program across multiple security domains and global locations.
The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Provides support and maintenance to established PERSEC programs.
- Supports the execution of the day-to-day agency PERSEC & Contractor Processing Team
program. - Prepares supports and administers PERSEC program briefings as needed.
- Prepares writes and presents reports/whitepapers various forms of correspondence as
required. - Briefs SISPI leadership and other agency KCs regarding the program requirements and
regulations. - Appropriately and accurately maintains and updates databases and files (e.g. PeopleSoft
security system of records SISPI SharePoint Page internal SISP file folders DISS
RapBack etc.) with data entry in a timely manner/real time. - Responds in a timely manner to all telephone and/or email actions questions or status
inquires to include checks of internal and external personnel security databases. - Assists in maintaining distribution lists for customers to contact PERSEC as
needed/required. - Brings case security issues to the attention of the government Team Leads in timely
manner. - Assists the government PERSEC team to help in developing recommendations for
improvement. - Provides service excellence in guidance and resolution to internal and external customers
questions and inquiries in a timely manner for support to their programs. - Utilizes a variety of security concepts principles and practices to analyze and recommends solutions for difficult and complex security issues.
- Documents and provides Weekly Activity Report (WAR) actions in the SISP designated
template and timeline to the Government Team Lead. - Assists Program Managers (PMs) Contracting Officers (COs) Contracting Officer
Representatives (CORs) and Facility Security Officers (FSOs) to support onboarding of
task order personnel. - Coordinates with external offices that support their program (e.g. OPM).
- Processes military orders/Approval to Brief (ATBs) for active duty and reserve personnel
within a timely manner once assigned. - Processes requests for military Periodic Reinvestigation (PR) initiation within a timely
manner once assigned. - Supports the processing of Continuous Access Authorizations (CAAs) within a timely
manner once assigned. - Responds to Defense Information Security System (DISS) Joint Verification System
(JVS) Task Notifications within 5 business days of receipt. - Processes HSPD-12 cases within a timely manner from receipt of SF-85 OF-306 and
fingerprints. - Tracks submission of HSPD-12 cases to DCSA.
Qualifications
Clearance Required: TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Poly.
Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a related field to personnel security.
- Significant experience in personnel security (7-10 years) in the DOD/IC.

DesiredCertifications:
- Certifications to include but not limited to: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) Physical Security Certification (PSC) ASIS Certification (any) ICD 705 SCIF Course (government of commercial offering).
Required Skills:
- Understand and be able to analyze the security repositories ( Scattered Castles DCSAs NP2 Portal eQIP PIPS/CVS).
- Familiarity with the requirements for reciprocation of background investigations and SEAD 7.
- Familiarity with HSPD-12 requirements.
DesiredSkills:
- Demonstrate experiencebriefing leadership and other customers regarding program requirements and regulations.
