Job Summary

Job Purpose:

As a Health Club Fitness & Recreation Instructor at SLS Red Sea you are an essential part of the guest wellness journey. You create and deliver engaging safe and personalized fitness sessions guide guests through the use of wellness facilities and ensure the environment remains vibrant professional and fully aligned with the SLS brands experiential ethos. Your role is to motivate educate and support guests and members while actively contributing to the energy and sophistication of the wellness space.

Duties & Functions:

Welcome guests to the health club and recreational areas with a warm approachable and knowledgeable presence.

Conduct initial consultations and fitness assessments to understand guest preferences needs and physical conditions.

Design and deliver customized personal training sessions group fitness classes stretching routines and recreational activities suitable for varying fitness levels.

Provide guidance on safe and effective use of gym equipment ensuring proper techniques and encouraging correct form.

Promote wellness programming spa offerings and special events to enhance guest engagement and drive participation.

Lead and inspire group fitness classes such as yoga Pilates HIIT aqua aerobics circuit training or others based on qualifications and guest demand.

Create structured recreational and movement activities for resort guests aligning with the luxury and lifestyle positioning of SLS.

Monitor participant engagement ensure a safe and inclusive environment and modify workouts as necessary for individual needs or limitations.

Conduct regular inspections of the gym studios pool areas and recreational zones to ensure cleanliness safety and full operational readiness.

Assist with opening and closing procedures including preparing workout spaces adjusting equipment and reporting maintenance issues.

Ensure all fitness and recreation equipment is clean well-maintained and safely stored.

Support inventory tracking of towels amenities and fitness supplies raising requisitions where needed.

Maintain full awareness and enforcement of health and safety guidelines emergency procedures and guest wellness protocols.

Respond calmly and effectively to incidents or first-aid situations; report and document any accidents or concerns promptly.

Qualifications :

Diploma or certification in Fitness Exercise Science Physical Education or a related field.

Certified personal trainer or group fitness instructor through recognized institutions.

CPR and First Aid certification is mandatory.

Minimum 12 years of experience in a luxury hotel resort or fitness club environment.

Prior experience delivering both one-on-one and group fitness sessions is highly desirable.

Physical Abilities:

Ability to move lift carry push/pull up to 20kg

Stand walk or sit for extended periods; reach overhead or below the knees; bend twist stoop
