This role supports the organisations strategic and regulatory ambitions by driving financial planning regulatory reporting and process improvement across key business initiatives. The analyst will work cross-functionally with finance governance compliance and programme teams to ensure accurate reporting strategic alignment and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Business Analysis
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop business proposals and cost models aligned with organisational strategy.
- Support the development of business plans for initiatives spanning ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and regulatory requirements.
- Analyse customer strategy documentation and integrate insights into planning processes.
Financial & Regulatory Reporting
- Prepare and validate financial and regulatory submissions in accordance with applicable standards (e.g. GAAP).
- Perform quality assurance on financial data identifying and investigating variances.
- Support the Governance and Finance Analyst in building financial models for both strategic initiatives and ongoing operations.
- Maintain effective internal controls to ensure accuracy in financial and regulatory reporting.
Quality Assurance & Process Improvement
- Drive quality management processes and streamline ways of working across teams.
- Identify and implement new reporting requirements and process improvements (e.g. PR6).
- Document and improve business planning and dependency processes.
- Research and recommend best-in-class industry practices to support digitisation and simplification.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in financial and business analysis including regulatory reporting.
- Strong documentation skills with experience producing high-quality business requirements and financial models.
- Experience in Agile environments and cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with financial systems regulatory frameworks and internal controls.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint Word Visio Project).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Understanding of technology and IT systems is a plus.
