Summary Statement
This position oversees inventory control and materials distribution by supervising staff and coordinating daily service activities. It manages ordering receiving storing and disbursing supplies and equipment prepares routine reports and handles purchasing needs. The role also maintains regular communication with departments receiving goods to provide guidance and ensure efficient service along with performing other assigned duties.

- Collects receives marks sorts stacks distributes and inventories supplies materials equipment parts or other articles.
- Locates and selects material supplies tools equipment parts or other articles from stockroom warehouse storage yard or other related areas.
- Adjusts repairs assembles or prepares products supplies equipment or other items according to specifications or customer requirements.
- Operates a variety of equipment for the purpose of preparing inspecting weighing evaluating recording marking or transporting supplies materials equipment or other articles.
- Records type quantity value or location of material supplies equipment or other articles received shipped used or issued.
- Cleans and maintains supplies tools equipment instruments and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations; ensures security of inventory.
Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS for Supply Storage and Distribution Supervisor
Applicants must have education training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
- Two years experience in inventory control such as ordering receiving tracking storing and handling inventory; disbursing materials supplies and equipment.
- One year experience in creating reports which includes combining and presenting data from multiple sources in an organized format.
- Six months experience in using standard computer software programs for word processing spreadsheets or databases.
- Knowledge of staff supervision acquired through course work academic training training provided through an employer or performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others; OR supervising staff which may include planning assigning reviewing and evaluating the work of others; OR supervising through subordinate supervisors a group of professional technical and clerical employee.
Conditions of Hire
Upon a conditional offer the applicant must undergo a pre-employment base line two step tuberculin skin test (TST) as part of the hiring process.
Pre-employment Drug Testing: Upon a conditional offer you must undergo pre-employment drug testing as part of the hiring process.
Criminal background check: A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire. The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.
All new hires are required to report to the Statewide New Employee Orientation (SNEO) on their first day of employment. Sessions are held at designated locations in Kent or New Castle County.
