Job Summary
The Used Car ServiceTechnician plays a key role in preparing pre-owned vehicles for retail sale. This position is responsible for inspecting diagnosing repairing and reconditioning used vehicles to dealership and manufacturer standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented efficient and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship that supports our dealerships reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
Inspect incoming used vehicles and identify necessary repairs and maintenance
Perform mechanical repairs safety checks and system diagnostics
Complete reconditioning tasks such as brake repair suspension work fluid services tune-ups and minor engine repairs
Document repair needs accurately and communicate findings to the service team
Ensure all repair and reconditioning work is completed efficiently and within established timelines
Follow dealership and manufacturer standards for quality and safety
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Support the service team as needed to ensure timely vehicle readiness
Uphold high levels of customer satisfaction and dealership standards
Qualifications
Previous experience as an automotive technician or recon technician preferred
Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills; familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS) is a plus
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
