Our challenge

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Lead Java Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing scalable robust enterprise applications using Java Spring Boot Microservices architecture Kafka and Angular. Ideal candidate will play a vital role in designing developing and implementing complex solutions leading technical initiatives and driving best practices.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other accordance with law the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh PA is$105k - $118k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design development and maintenance of enterprise-level web applications and services.
• Architect and develop microservices using Java with Spring Boot ensuring they are scalable secure and maintainable.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with various systems and third-party services.
• Develop test and deploy front-end applications using Angular ensuring a responsive and user-friendly interface.
• Work with Kafka for event-driven architecture stream processing and real-time data ingestion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers QA and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers within the team.
• Implement best practices for code quality testing CI/CD pipelines and documentation.
• Participate in architectural discussions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
• Strong professional experience in Java full stack development.
• Strong expertise in Java Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience working with Kafka and building event-driven systems.
• Proficiency in front-end development using Angular (version 8 preferred).
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of API design data modeling and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to architect scalable solutions.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred but not required:

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins Maven Git).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus Grafana ELK Stack).
