Job Summary

Lauterbach & Amen LLP is a well-established CPA firm specializing in governmental accounting auditing and financial services for municipalities park districts police and firefighters pension funds school districts and other units of local government. The firm is a recognized leader in the governmental accounting industry and has grown continuously over the past twenty-seven years.

We are searching for a full-time staff member to join our Professional Services Administration team. This position will be based in Down state Illinois (Edwardsville/St. Louis)area.

Lauterbach & Amen is committed to offering compensation that is fair transparent and competitive. The anticipated average salary range for this position is $50000$60000 with the final offer determined based on business-related factors such as geographic location relevant experience education skill set and professional certifications. As part of our compensation philosophy offers are typically not made at the top of the range to allow room for future growth and salary progression over time.

Job Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive administrative support for multiple pension funds
  • Scan and file member files
  • Electronically file records documents correspondence
  • Prepare letters and affidavits to all retirees
  • Create meeting agendas and board meeting packets
  • Attend quarterly meetings take notes and transcribe minutes
  • Process invoices for payment
  • Correspond via email with pension fund trustees
  • Communicate with accountants within the firm and several Pension Fund attorneys
  • Other projects as assigned

Position Qualifications

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Must be able to travel locally and have reliable transportation
  • Deadline driven
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Highly motivated self starter
