Description of Job

About the Work Unit
The purpose of the Training Services Branch is to train to members of the Colorado State Patrol. The CSP is designated by Colorado P.O.S.T. (Peace Officer Standards and Training) as an approved Basic Training addition to the Academy cadet classes each year this unit provides continuing education specialized training and advanced training to all members of the Colorado State Patrol.

Work Environment

  • 100% in-person Office sedentary Typical work hours Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

About the Opportunity
This position serves as the primary liaison and program coordination between the Academy kitchen vendor and the Academy catering and hospitality needs. Responsible for the coordination of catering needs which include classroom or event set up arranging the menu and determining specific catering needs overseeing food setup event tear down etc. Manages the day-to-day operations of the CSP Academy classroom(s) liaison with food services vendor ensuring adequate and appropriate services are delivered. Determines facilitates repairs upgrades and equipment management as required and is the primary point of contact for Academy staff regarding classroom and other meeting space configuration and needs.

Key Responsibilities

Catering and Hospitality Coordination
This position provides classroom and event management for the Training Services Branch and the Camp George West complex. Ensures scheduled meeting space is set up as requested. Assists in the planning and execution of assigned special events. Works collaboratively with TSB professional staff regarding room assignments space configuration and hospitality needs.

Vendor Liaison
Under general supervision this position is the primary vendor liaison for contracted food services for the Training Services Branch. As the primary vendor point of contact manages contracts monthly invoices invoice discrepancies direct needs and concerns of the vendor. Facilitates equipment repairs preventative maintenance with appropriate repair company knowing what is contracted or sourced in-house. Provides customer service support to address all vendor addition and maintenance related questions and resolves any issues. Provides vendor with classroom and other event meal counts in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications

Four (4) years of general office administrative and/or program support experience supporting an individual or team.

OR

A combination of related education and/or general office administrative and/or program support experience equal to four (4) years.If education is substituted for work experience an unofficial transcript of the relevant education must be provided with your application.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior state experience that is relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Experience in catering coordination events hospitality services or customer service in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience coordinating multiple vendors and service providers.
  • Experience with tracking inventory.
  • Experience in Google Products (Ex. Gmail Google-Docs Sheets etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Ex. Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Must be Colorado resident at the time of application.
