Title: Process Technician - Day Shift

Schedule: 7am -3:30pm M-F

Division/Site Specific Information

Role based at the Allentown PA site and will support the Clinical Trails DDivision(CTD) at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Discover Impactful Work:

The Process Technician makes an impact by demonstrating Alignment to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) Processes Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs). Driving a Philosophy of Practical Process Improvement (PPI)/5S Principles/Root Cause Analysis. Develops/Revises Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Work Instructions (WIs) and Knowledge Assessments.

A Day in the Life

  • Authors Investigations Customer Complaints Change Controls and CAPAs.

  • Performs Setup Disassembly and Operation of Pharmaceutical Packaging Machinery.

  • Performs Corrective Maintenance and Troubleshooting of Production Equipment.

  • Provides Training on Equipment Setup Function and Processes.

  • Aligns with Process Engineering to Integrate Equipment and Procedures.

  • Collaborates with Vendors/Contractors to Facilitate Upgrades and Repairs.

  • Works with On-Site Clients to Achieve Common Goals.

  • Practices and Maintains an Organized and Safe Working Environment.

  • Other Duties may be Assigned to Meet Business needs.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3- 5 years experience in Industrial Maintenance Product Packaging or Production-type setting.

  • Experience Interpreting Schematics Technical Drawings and Work Orders.

Knowledge Skills Abilities

  • Familiarity with Testing/Measuring Devices and Hand Tools.

  • Understanding of Electromechanical Principals and Functions.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Maximo/Work order Tracking Software Trackwise (preferred).

  • Able to multitask and respond to shifting priorities.

  • Good social skills necessary both written and verbal.

  • Technical writing skills and ability to define process flow.

  • Ability to Lift up to 75lbs.
