This thriving primary academy requires an experienced and creative School Chef to lead its kitchen team. The role involves planning preparing and cooking healthy delicious meals for pupils and staff adhering to strict nutritional guidelines and ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene.
Core Responsibilities & Scope
- Culinary Leader: Planning and preparing a varied nutritious and appetizing daily menu for pupils and staff.
- Hygiene Champion: Ensuring strict compliance with all relevant Food Hygiene regulations (HACCP) and kitchen safety standards.
- Team Manager: Managing food orders stock control budgets and supervising kitchen assistants.
Compensation & Benefits
- Essential Requirements: Relevant catering qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) proven experience in high-volume catering and comprehensive knowledge of school food standards.
- Salary Range: Competitive salary (expected to be 33000 - 38000 per annum).
- Support: Generous holiday allowance (school terms only) and pension scheme.
