Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with strong Cardiac and Telemetry background to join our dynamic care team. The RN will deliver high-quality patient-centered care through assessment planning implementation and evaluation. This role requires clinical judgment critical thinking patient education and specialized cardiac monitoring skills within an acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities Patient Assessment & Care Planning-
Collects comprehensive health histories from patients and families using age-appropriate communication for adolescent adult and geriatric patients.

Completes admission assessments within required timeframes; initiates and updates individualized plans of care.

Performs ongoing biophysical psychosocial developmental environmental and educational assessments.

Utilizes Braden Scale and other clinical tools effectively.

Develops outcomes/resolutions tailored to patients developmental stages and clinical status.

Delegates tasks appropriately based on caregiver skill level and scope of practice.

Provides direct patient care based on priority needs safety and established protocols.

Interprets and analyzes cardiac rhythms; documents telemetry strips and communicates changes to physicians.

Applies telemetry leads properly; sets and verifies alarm parameters in coordination with telemetry technicians.

Implements chest pain protocols cardiac medication management and high-risk IV cardiac drug administration.

Assists with elective cardioversion procedures.

Ensures interdisciplinary coordination for optimal patient outcomes.

Documents assessments interventions medications and patient education in accordance with policy.

Transcribes and signs off physician orders accurately; performs readbacks for phone orders.

Maintains compliance with all Department of Health and facility regulatory standards.

Assesses learning needs and barriers; provides age-appropriate teaching and reinforcement.

Initiates discharge planning upon admission and collaborates with the care team throughout hospitalization.

Educates patients/families using teaching tools and documented reinforcement steps.

Delegates tasks appropriately based on caregiver skill level and scope of practice.

Valid NJ Registered Nurse (RN) License required

BLS (Basic Life Support) required
-
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required

Basic Dysrhythmia Certification/Competency required

PCCN (Progressive Care Certified Nurse) preferred
- BSN preferred (or currently enrolled in a BSN program)
- ADN accepted with relevant experience
Schedule Notes:
- 7a - 7p
- Must be able to commit up to 3 shifts per week.
