DescriptionThe Program Manager I is responsible for providing administrative operational and programmatic oversight. The Program Manager I will have a thorough knowledge of institutional and program policies and procedures and may be instrumental in developing program policies. A program is ongoing and while it may have a business cycle will continue. The program provides a specific service or carries out specific activities as a separate entity or as a component program within a department but is not a department itself.
The Program Manager is responsible for providing administrative operational and programmatic oversight for a female oncosexual health and menopause research program and division.
Responsibilities- Hires and oversees program staff.
- Performs and/or oversees data/specimen collection study visits and consenting patients as needed.
- Assists in the writing and production of grant applications to government foundations and industrial sponsors.
- Responsible for oversight of the grants cycle including pre-award budget development post-award monitoring program sub-contract management and grant closeout procedures.
- Drafts annual and other periodic scientific program reports.
- Collaborate with program leadership to prepare proposals for corporate and foundation funding from outside sponsors/donors.
- Manages and monitors shared meeting calendars agendas/minutes and project progress.
- Responsible for managing content for web and social media presences for lay audiences.
- Any duties within scope of ability assigned by leadership.
Qualifications- Bachelors degree or greater preferred or a combination of applicable experience and education
- 3 years experience (5 preferred) managing and administrating program activities for assigned area
- Proven track record in project management and team leadership.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with NIH grant preparation and clinical research is preferred.
- Clinical or research experience in oncology radiation oncology or womens health is preferred.
- Sound business judgment and well-developed planning problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks projects and assignments.
- Ability to work independently and shift priorities in an ever-changing work environment to get things done quickly and accurately.
