As a technical leader on the Wind DT Architecture team the Enterprise Architecture will play a pivotal role in both creating and optimizing GE Vernova Winds technology landscape by managing the technology portfolio ensuring alignment with business requirements efficiency best in class application landscape and driving strategic decision-making.
You will be responsible for defining the standardization governance and optimization of all architectural processes and tools references services and teams. You will also ensure to lead the transformation initiatives in that space the reach the vision and end state. You will provide technical guidance to the community of practice for architects collaborating to drive architectural standard a simplified portfolio of applications and a focus on business outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities
Application Portfolio and Architectural Oversight:
Drive the development and execution of the technology strategy in alignment with business the Community of Practice (CoP) approach to deliver an efficient and innovative technology and reference architecture.
Evaluate the current application landscape identify opportunities for optimization and drive the development of a roadmap for application modernization and rationalization.
Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Data and Architectural Governance: Working with leadership to establish and enforce governance policies and standards to ensure strong adherence to standards data quality integrity and security.
Strategic Decision-Making and Leadership:
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership on technology investments retirement of legacy applications and adoption of emerging technologies.
Develop and mentor other architects to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Build strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including business units IT leaders and external vendors.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences to ensure a clear understanding of application portfolio priorities and initiatives.
Explore and implement innovative solutions to streamline the footprint of tools and optimize thecost
Qualifications/Requirements
Desired Characteristics
Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud-native architectures (e.g. AWS Azure GCP).
Deep understanding of data architecture data warehousing and data analytics.
Strong knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g. Snowflake Databricks Redshift).
Experience with API management microservices and containerization (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in managing and influencing senior stakeholders to drive strategic decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans
Strategic Vision: Ability to see the bigger picture and align application portfolio strategies with the organizations long-term goals.
Innovation: Passion for exploring and adopting innovative technologies to enhance the application landscape.
Leadership Excellence: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Hands-on experience in any one of the cloud managed services. AWS or Azure
Preferred certification in AWS Solution Architecture
Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA and REST)
Strong Knowledge of IP Networking including VPCs VPNs DNS Load-balancing and Firewalls
Strong knowledge of end-to-end SDLC & infrastructure architecture
Hands-on experience in J2EE technologies RESTful services
Ability to consult customer on alignment of outcomes and desired technical solutions at an enterprise level
Ability to Analyze design and develop a software solution roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state of the business.
Working knowledge of configuration choices and related cost implications; Experience with complex solution configurations.
Knowledgeable of full range of solution catalog within a business unit and able to discuss overall solution at depth.
Experience sustaining operational stability through various life cycle phases (planning implementation steady state de-commissioning); Ability to provision and budget via capital and operating.
Able to lead early-stage customer interactions; Guide customers as they develop confidence and comfort with approaches and integrate with their legacy tech investments.
The base pay range for this position is $113000 - $188400 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set. This position is also eligible for variable incentive compensation of 15%. This posting is expected to close no earlier than November 1 2024.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
