Clinical Department Supervisor III
The Clinical Department Supervisor III is responsible for the full oversight of clinical operations and staff including associate and non-licensed clinicians and therapists. This role functions as a key leader within the clinical department and operates independently under the guidance of the Clinical Program Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily clinical operations to ensure high-quality compliant service delivery.
Supervise and coach BHT-level staff providing guidance performance monitoring recognition and corrective action as needed.
Participate in departmental planning performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide independent supervision to BHT-level staff associate licensed clinicians and therapists.
Conduct individual and group supervision sessions; review and approve clinical documentation.
Support program development training initiatives clinical strategy execution and policy implementation.
Serve as an escalation point for member care issues and complex clinical cases.
Coordinate audits licensing surveys and quality assurance activities.
Collaborate with the Clinical Program Manager and Clinical Director to ensure model fidelity and effective team leadership.
Maintain all licensure training and supervision documentation and requirements.
Foster communication and collaboration across departments to remove barriers resolve issues and support optimal client outcomes.
Assist in meeting departmental KPIs compliance benchmarks and quality standards.
Ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory policies and requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Education Requirements
Excellent communication organizational time management critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated adaptability flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced evolving environment.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when needed.
Advanced computer proficiency (MS Office EHR systems Teams Internet).
Masters degree in a behavioral health or related field required.
Independent licensure required (LPC LCSW LISAC).
Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) designation and APEP accreditation required.
Peer and Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) certification preferred.
Minimum five (5) years of behavioral health experience required.
Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting required.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid AZ drivers license may be required.
CPR/First Aid certification required.
Crisis De-escalation certification required (e.g. CPI Safety Care).
Annual MVR clearance may be required.
Successful completion of pre-employment background checks drug/alcohol testing and annual TB testing.
