We are currently looking to add a Project Engineer to the team.
As the Project Engineer you will actively contribute to the companys bidding and qualification process on major projects and may transition into the execution phase of the projects they previously bid on.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating on project estimating and bidding;
- Assisting the estimating team and determining the best strategies to meet qualification/bid requirements;
- Ensuring the quality of the bid in accordance with client requirements and the companys quality standards;
- Planning and ensuring proper coordination of work with various stakeholders;
- Planning supervising and participating in the development of appropriate construction methods and procedures related to contractual requirements while complying with current health and safety regulations;
- Participating in meetings with clients engineers and project managers;
- Assisting with reviewing and communicating technical questions and change requests to the clients representative and performing necessary follow-ups;
- Obtaining required permits and authorizations for project execution;
- Following up on (content validation) shop drawings and other required contractual documents as needed;
- Participating in the development and updating of project schedules;
- Other tasks as required.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management;
- 7 to 10 years of construction experience both on-site and in bidding;
- Experience with major/large-scale projects;
- Experience in writing bids;
- Bilingualism is an asset (French and English);
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word Excel Access);
- In-depth knowledge of all management software;
- Advanced knowledge of MS Project and AutoCAD an asset.
