As a Security Engineer II at JPMorganChase within the Cybersecurity & Tech Controls team youare part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse circumvention and malicious behavior. As an emerging member of the security engineering team you execute basic software solutions through the design development and troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical area while gaining skills and experience to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
- Executes standard security solutions in accordance with existing playbooks to satisfy security requirements for internal clients (e.g. product platform and application owners)
- Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
- Applies specialized tools ( scanner) to analyzeand correlate incident data toidentify interpret andsummarize probability andimpact of threats whendetermining specificvulnerabilities
- Supports delivery of continuity-related awareness training educational activities andexercises
- Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 1 years applied experience
- Proficient in AI/ML techniques and skilled in advanced analytics.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI/ML such as Python R Java and C.
- Experience of architecting & developing applications on any one of the major public cloud providers (AWS Azure)
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- AI/ML Kubernetes and AWS certification is a plus.
- Proven experience with modern frontend framework and libraries such as React Next Js is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab for automating software delivery
- Practical cloud native experience
