Design and Zone Primary Engineering Services Manager

Join Evoenergy as a key leader responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of asset replacement augmentation and customer-initiated projects across distribution and zone substation systems. This role also provides expert engineering support for zone substation primary equipment working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure safe reliable and cost-effective network outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and develop high-performing teams through mentoring coaching and fostering a culture of safety innovation and continuous improvement.
• Manage and oversee design programs ensuring compliance with standards optimising resources and delivering accurate fit-for-purpose technical designs.
• Drive successful project outcomes by managing engineering performance from concept to closeout and collaborating across delivery teams.
• Provide expert engineering support for zone substation primary equipment contributing to asset strategy maintenance and reliability.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships through active engagement cross-functional collaboration and promotion of best practices.

Our ideal candidate:

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Holds a current ACT Professional Engineering Registration or ability to obtain ACT Professional Engineering Registration
• Demonstrated extensive experience in design and the maintenance of complex electricity distribution zone substation and secondary systems projects.
• Demonstrated extensive experience strong knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment relating to the electricity distribution industry particularly in regard to customer-initiated electricity network infrastructure works
• Demonstrated experience in training and mentoring new and existing non-senior staff members
• You take active steps to ensure the safety of your colleagues and our community championing a safe inclusive and respectful environment.
