Department

• Performs ocular examinations including history taking visual acuity ocular motility assessment intraocular pressure measurement lensometry and pupillary assessment. (65%)
• Performs visual field testing OCT pachymetry topography A-scan biometry and ocular photography. (10%)
• Performs refractometry and records findings accurately for provider review. (10%)
• Provides patient education on contact lens care glasses and medications. (5%)
• Responsible for stocking exam rooms and maintaining exam room equipment. (5%)
• Learns and performs fluorescein angiography cataract evaluations and pediatric eye assessments. (5%)

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1-3 years 1-3 years ophthalmology experience or completion of ophthalmic apprenticeship required Required

• BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required

• Epic EHR Documentation
• Knowledge of basic ophthalmic assisting techniques including optics and visual acuity assessment
