DescriptionThe Data Technology and Innovation (DTI) Salesforce Intern will support the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) project byassistingwith day-to-day Salesforce administration and system enhancement efforts. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience within a large fast-paced public sector implementation that supports statewide emergency response operations.
Intern responsibilities include building andmaintainingreports and dashboards performing data entry and data validation and supporting permission set and profile cleanup to improve system organization and security. The intern will alsoassistwith basic field creation and updates troubleshoot introductory automation issues and help resolve Salesforce support cases.
During Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activations the intern may be asked to provideadditionalsystem support to ensure accuracy continuity and readiness of mission-critical workflows.
This internship offers exposure to real-world Salesforce administration emergency management processes and collaboration with technical and business teams. It providesa strong foundationfor candidates seeking careers in Salesforce public sector technology or enterprise system support.

Tasks Duties and Responsibilities

- Working with current salesforce developers to provide support with new or existing development/admin needs within Salesforce.
- Provide support on projects that require development within our current solutions.
- Identify ways to streamline or improve current processes within solutions.

- Troubleshooting basic Salesforce automation and triaging support cases.
- Work on projects that have a direct impact on clients if available/needed.
- Interns will be given the opportunity for shadowing experiences and exposure to various divisions and projects as available.
- In limited circumstances Interns may be asked to assist in matters related to research and development project management/administration or other corporate operations.

RequirementsExperience and Education Required
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor degree program (or recently graduated within the past year) from a Software Engineering Computer Science Information Technology or related field program at an accredited university college or other educational facility in the Tallahassee FL area.
- 6-24 months customer service experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 particularly Excel.
Experience and Education Preferred
- Current GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- 1 years of Salesforce administrative/configuration experience.
- Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification Salesforce Associate Certification and/or Salesforce Administrator Certification.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Internship position has no direct supervisory responsibility.
Expected Hours of Work
- Schedule may vary and require work on evenings and weekends and dependability and punctuality are paramount.
- Must be able to work approximately 8am -5pm Eastern Time Zone hours.
Physical Demands
- Sitting or standing for hours at a time.
- Ability to work at a computer for prolonged periods of time if needed.
Work Environment
- The internship is considered hybrid working in the client office.
Additional Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must pass company and any applicable client background check and reference check upon offer of employment.
- Eligibility to work in the United States is required.
