About the Role
The Assistant Project Officer administers examination and related programs for certification of people to carry out WHS statutory functions at mines. They undertake a range of project preparation analysis reporting implementation and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of annual exam projects in line with an established calendar of project plans and programmes.
You will provide operational support to examination panels including monitoring and reporting on project plans milestones and deliverables to ensure time cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans and a range of administrative services including coordinating meetings preparing agendas meeting documentation and other tasks to support project and program management delivery.
Also liaise and assist in the preparation and coordination of project plans and communications and responses to stakeholder enquiries/needs to ensure that responses are timely well researched/analysed and complete. The role requires to undertake basic research and analysis in assigned project areas and programmes.
You will deliver results by seeking and applying specialist advice and information take the initiative to progress and deliver own work and that of the team or unit and proactively change or adjust plans when needed.
Also complete work tasks within set budgets timeframes and standard. Always take the initiatives to progress and deliver own work with contribute to allocating responsibilities and resources to ensure the team achieved goals.
This role is fully funded by Mine Safety Levy so is sitting inside the Resources Regulator and will be suited to an enthusiastic person with strong communication skills keen to join a committed and collaborative team.
About You
Proven experience in the provision of administrative and support services and in development and delivery of programs and projects. You will also have a proper understanding of contemporary project management principles and practices.
