About the Role:
As an Older Persons Mental Health Clinical Nurse you will apply your consolidated clinical experience and specialist knowledge to plan implement and evaluate a comprehensive range of services tailored to the needs of older consumers. Working across a variety of health service settings you will provide mental health nursing care as a practitioner developing from competent to proficient practice while ensuring care is sensitive effective and evidence based.
You will accept accountability for your own practice standards for activities you delegate to others and for supporting the development of less experienced staff. While the role remains predominantly clinical you will also be assigned appropriate portfolio responsibilities that align with your performance and professional development goals negotiated as part of your career this position you will play a key role in supporting high-quality mental health care for older people and strengthening service delivery across the network.
