Job Summary
Overview
The DevOps Manager will lead a team of engineers to deliver cloud platform-based projects optimize infrastructure streamline deployments and manage costs effectively. This role requires a strategic leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for operational excellence.
Location:Greater Toronto Area ON (Hybrid)
Status: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the DevOps team ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
- Oversee project intake prioritization and delivery across AWS and GCP environments
- Ensure stability and quick resolution of issues across multiple environments (development test staging production)
- Partner with finance teams to plan cloud spend and implement cost optimization strategies
- Define KPIs and provide regular operational health reports to leadership
Qualifications Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS GCP Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes)
- Experience with monitoring tools (AppDynamics Prometheus Grafana ELK stack)
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization
Nice to Have:
- Experience in multi-cloud strategy and governance
- Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
