About the role
Were seeking a proactive individual to join our team as an External Trading Manager in our Recycling Division. You will be working within the Commercial function to implement the sales strategy for all non-DS Smith sales channels.
Your responsibilities will include managing a portfolio of accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and operational service levels are met whilst delivering value to DS Smith. You will be key in managing the day-to-day commercial relationships with your accounts creating account plans managing customer visits/audits and ensuring the services levels are exceeding our KPIs. As the key point of contact for our customers you will support your accounts from initial queries to invoices and payments and provide accurate forecasts and summaries as required.
Collaborating with the Commercial teams you identify related sourcing opportunities based off reviewing latest market trends and insight and work on the relevant tender processes to complete those new opportunities.
About you
- Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a related industry
- Excellent communication analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels including senior management with both internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
- Demonstration of a high level of Industry & legislation knowledge
- Strong IT skills with high competency required for most Microsoft Office applications including CRM systems
- An ability to work to and meet set deadlines both customer-defined and internal
Location: Home based with travel to sites in Caerphilly with travel as required.
Note: This role is part of the recycling reorganisation proposal and will be advertised internally for the relevant recycling employees.
