Description
Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician provides general maintenance services across all Rock City Enterprises properties to ensure that buildings systems and equipment remain in optimal condition. This role supports daily maintenance needs implements preventive maintenance schedules and assists in troubleshooting and repair efforts. Under the direction of the Facilities Manager the Facilities Maintenance Technician performs a variety of repair inspection and improvement tasks to ensure a safe efficient and guest-ready environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent guest service to internal and external customers in alignment with Rock City Enterprises mission culture and values.
- Model appropriate guest and partner interactions that reflect the companys Culture of Excellence.
- Complete Maintenance Work Requests (MWR) as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
- Perform inspections and quality checks on plumbing electrical HVAC and general building systems.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules for all assigned equipment and systems.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address maintenance needs before issues escalate.
- Operate and maintain various tools and equipment used in maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure all maintenance equipment is properly serviced and in good working condition.
- Participate in safety training sessions and maintain compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
- Identify and address potential safety hazards in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities inspections and repairs.
- Document any changes made to systems equipment or layouts.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime and ensure partner and guest safety.
- Coordinate with other teams and external contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
- Evaluate the performance of equipment and recommend repairs upgrades or replacements as needed.
- Assist in training Facilities Maintenance Apprentices and support their skill development.
- Participate in ongoing professional training to enhance maintenance skills and technical knowledge.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; basic math skills required.
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance general repair or a related trade preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals safety procedures and operational documents.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work well with diverse teams.
- Proficient in the use of standard maintenance tools and equipment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
Licenses & Certifications
- Must possess a valid drivers license and maintain a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Regular use of hands and fingers.
- Ability to stand walk stoop kneel or crouch frequently.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors year-round including in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends holidays and special events.
