Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the specialized Emergency Department (ED) Float Pool. This full-time night shift position is vital for ensuring high-quality continuous patient care across various acute care areas. The RN will act as a patient and family advocate providing expert nursing assessments and diagnostics with a commitment to clinical excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary patient and family advocate ensuring privacy and confidentiality are maintained.
- Facilitate patient care through timely nursing assessments diagnoses and execution of care plans.
- Provide plan-based care focused on achieving optimal clinical outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Float between different units as required by the operational needs of the Emergency Department.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of recent (within the last year or two) Acute Care Emergency Room (ER) RN experience is required.
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida or an active COMPACT license with the ability to obtain a Florida license before hire.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) is current and required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) is preferred but required within 6 months of hire.
- Education: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is preferred.
