Bachelor Degree
Master Degree preferred
Great Classroom Management Skills
Prior teaching experience K-6 preferred but not required. Compassionate when working with students and paying attention to detail
Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology
Demonstrate an ability to share knowledge collaboratively. Experience in demonstrating effective classroom/student teaching instruction
Excellent organizational written and oral communication skills. Spanish speakers are strongly encouraged to apply

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess and diagnose speech language and cognitive-communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers parents and other professionals to support student progress
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and interventions
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs
- Provide guidance and resources to families to support communication development at home
- Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology
- Adhere to all federal state and local regulations regarding special education services
- Maintain regular and open communication with families by providing regular written updates on student progress and creating opportunities for family participation inclusion and
- Utilize technology to promote and share student achievement and to communicate with students colleagues and families.
- Enforce all School policies on discipline and determine appropriate management strategies in their own classrooms.
