The Environmental Scientist role in Albany NY is a 12-month position requiring a blend of field work data analysis and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting biological field sampling managing projects and communicating scientific information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities:
- Conducting biological field sampling (animal/plant surveys water testing etc.).
- Coordinating fieldwork.
- Managing aquatic invasive species.
- Communicating scientific information to diverse audiences including the public.
- Interacting effectively with managers operations staff and external stakeholders.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelors degree in Ecology Biology Environmental Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience (equivalent experience gained while pursuing a graduate degree may be considered as a substitute).
- Excellent written and public speaking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to speak in front of large audiences.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools including Word Excel Outlook and SharePoint.
- GIS
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with data analysis.
