Job Summary

Schedule: Day Shift 4x10 Hours 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
Start Date: 12/08/2025
We are seeking a competent and compassionate Radiation Therapist to provide high-quality external beam radiation therapy to oncology patients in an outpatient teaching-hospital environment. The therapist will work with advanced technology assist with daily imaging and ensure safe and accurate treatment delivery. First-time travelers with at least 1 year of experience are welcome.
Responsibilities: Radiation Treatment Delivery-
Deliver external beam therapy using linear accelerators

Perform IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy) treatments

Support prostate cancer treatments involving seeds/fiducials
-
Utilize CBCT/kV/mV imaging for patient positioning and verification
-
Assist with respiratory gating* (preferred)
-
Perform CT simulation under supervision*
-
Assist with creation of custom molds and shielding*
-
Support tumor localization*
-
Collaborate with dosimetry team regarding electron beam therapy and electron field treatments

Follow all radiation safety protocols
-
Educate patients and families regarding treatment expectations

Apply isolation precautions when appropriate
-
Assist patients with transfers lifts and safe mobility
-
Respond appropriately to emergency situations and activate rapid/code teams when needed

Perform chart checks* documentation and use of crash cart/defibrillator*
-
Support billing for treatment types and devices*
-
Ensure accurate field shaping beam modification and positioning
-
Maintain smooth daily workflow with 2 therapists assigned per linac
-
Use Epic for charting (preferred)

Experience with Elekta Infinity* Elekta Versa HD* and HexaPOD* (preferred but not required)

ExacTrac and Mosaiq experience preferred

At least 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience

First-time travelers accepted

Must feel comfortable working in a teaching hospital environment

No floating between units
-
No weekends no call no block schedule required

Elekta Mosaiq and ExacTrac experience preferred

RTO must be included at time of submission

Expected staffing model: 2 therapists per linac

48-hour schedules not approved

Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program

Minimum 1 year of recent Radiation Therapy experience

Teaching hospital experience preferred

Outpatient oncology experience preferred

ARRT (R) Required
