We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to support adult diagnostic and interventional cardiac peripheral and vascular procedures. This position requires strong sterile field techniques hemodynamic monitoring skills and fluoro experience. Candidates must have at least 2 years of relevant Cath Lab experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Call is required; weekends are not.
Daily caseload ranges between 8 12 procedures primarily focused on Coronary Artery Disease Peripheral Vascular Disease and Cardiac Arrhythmias.
Responsibilities Cardiac Cath Lab ProceduresAssist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including:
Left & right heart catheterizations
Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
PTCA
Cardiac stent placement
Temporary and permanent pacemaker insertion
Impella insertion*
Hemodynamic monitoring*
Adult diagnostic catheterizations
Support advanced vascular interventions including:
Peripheral angiography
Carotid stenting*
Endovascular interventions*
Dialysis graft creation/revision*
Fistulograms/declots*
Thrombolysis/thrombectomy*
Renal and ureteral stent placement*
TIPS procedures*
Assist in IR-based procedures such as:
Gastrostomy/G-tube placement*
Liver biopsy*
Paracentesis & thoracentesis*
Embolization & coil embolization/peripherals*
ERCP*
Scrub procedures while maintaining sterile field
Set up and prepare all procedure equipment
Monitor patient vitals/hemodynamics (preferred)
Operate fluoroscopy systems
Maintain equipment inventory and supply stock
Document cases via PACS
Maintain all isolation and radiation safety standards
Support urgent/emergent cases as needed
Educate patients and families regarding procedures
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
First-time travelers accepted
Daily caseload: 8 12
No floating required
Call required
No weekends
Must have ARRT Fluoro Permit ACLS BLS
RCIS not accepted unless ARRT is also held
Pending Fluoro Permits accepted only if already applied at time of submission
Block scheduling considered (case-by-case)
Locals accepted
Orientation: 30 hours
Guaranteed hours: facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
All RTO must be submitted and approved up front
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
2 years Cath Lab experience required
Experience in diagnostic and interventional coronary & peripheral procedures required
Community hospital experience preferred
ARRT (R) Required
State Radiology License Required
Fluoroscopy Permit Required (pending accepted with proof of application)
BLS (AHA) Required
ACLS Required
RCIS Only accepted when paired with ARRT and 5 years experience (preferred but not required)
