eero is looking for a highly proficient hands-on WiFi Software Development Engineer to further contribute and enhance the connectivity efficiency and experience of our devices and clients. You will help to improve our mesh and client connectivity design new features and ensure that the end users have a great connectivity experience. Youll work closely with testing teams to help discover and debug issues.

Key job responsibilities
- Enhance the client connectivity and mesh experiences for eeros whole home connectivity products
- Take various client connectivity performance to next levels
- Design and implement new roaming features
- Analyze connectivity problems and come out with complete solutions
- Dive deep into embedded system internals
- Improve wireless drivers firmware hostap components
- Drive decisions about testing improvements
- Work with core operating system mobile and cloud teams to deliver features
- Maintenance work - regulatory settings board settings tools scripts
A day in the life
The team members have the opportunity to learn about the WiFi stack and contribute to various components. Direct hands on experience with the hardware as you are developing your software. We also work with many internal and external teams. Team member has a chance to work in the core technologies of eero such as roaming routing connectivity performance daily.
About the team
WiFi team provides the most secure fast reliable and complete WiFi router system to our customers. We innovate on behalf of our customers. The team members are working closely to provide best customer experience. We own design to development to quality assurance with dedicated labs.
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
