GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position will serve all sites in the Laramie District with scheduled days at each site each week. The Laramie District consists of Curt Gowdy State Park the Wyoming Territorial Prison the Historic Governors Mansion and Quebec 01 Missile Alert Facility. The position will end in April 2026. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed in the job level.
Assist all sites with events during the winter which involves a lot of setup management and takedown.
Assist with deferred maintenance.
Assist with routine maintenance.
Assist with cleaning park and site facilities and grounds.
Assist in keeping the Historic Governors Mansion open.
Assist with manning the front desk at Curt Gowdy State Park.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
**Must have a valid drivers license. **Must be at least 18 years of age.
KNOWLEDGE:
Excellent communication skills for working with staff and visitors from around the world
Excellent customer service skills with staff and visitors
Ability to be flexible with work assignments and assigned duties
Willingness to work on a variety of different tasks every day
Ability to perform routine and potentially mundane tasks
Experience in money handling and retail sales
Experience in basic construction
Experience in the use of basic power and hand tools
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
None - See Preferences
Necessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds with or without assistance.
