Job Summary
Job Description Architectural / Civil Draftsman
Role Overview
The Architectural / Civil Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed architectural and structural drawings ensuring accuracy compliance with project specifications and coordination with engineering teams. The role requires strong drafting skills proficiency in design software and the ability to support project execution with precise documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed architectural and civil drawings sections elevations and layouts based on engineering inputs.
Develop structural drawings formwork details reinforcement detailing and site coordination plans.
Modify and update drawings as per design revisions consultant comments and site requirements.
Prepare as-built drawings shop drawings and coordination drawings for project execution.
Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications industry codes and client standards.
Coordinate with architects civil engineers MEP teams and site supervisors for design clarification.
Maintain drawing logs version control and ensure documentation accuracy.
Support quantity estimation and material take-offs where required.
Review and verify dimensions measurements and technical details provided by the site team.
Assist in preparing presentations design drafts and project submissions for clients and authorities.
Essential Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering / Architectural Drafting or related discipline.
35 years of experience as a Draftsman in construction contracting or consultancy companies (Gulf experience preferred).
Skills Required
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) mandatory.
Knowledge of Revit SketchUp Navisworks or other BIM tools (added advantage).
Strong understanding of architectural design principles structural elements and construction detailing.
Ability to interpret engineering sketches technical documentation and project specifications.
Good knowledge of international standards and drafting guidelines.
Strong attention to detail accuracy and time management skills.
Good communication skills for coordination with internal and external stakeholders
