Responsibilities
Review tax returns prepared by junior staff for accuracy and compliance
Ensure strict adherence to US tax code and IRS regulations
Provide guidance and corrections on complex tax situations
Maintain quality control standards across all tax preparation work
Identify and resolve tax-related issues prior to filing
Mentor junior staff and provide constructive feedback on their work
Handle complex tax scenarios requiring advanced knowledge
Ensure all client filings meet professional standards and deadlines
Requirements
Advanced knowledge of US tax code and IRS regulations
Proven experience reviewing and supervising tax preparation work
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex tax situations
Ability to identify errors and provide clear constructive feedback
Previous experience in tax accounting or CPA firm environment
Deep understanding of compliance requirements and filing procedures
Bonus: CPA certification or equivalent advanced credentials
Helpful but not required: experience training or mentoring junior staff
