Summary of Role: The legal operations team at GF is looking for an experienced contracts professional to primarily support GFs Commercial Agreements group (CA) and the administration implementation and maintenance of GFs SellSide Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) supporting multiple worldwide organizations to include sales legal and research and development through the implementation and maintenance of our confidentiality coverage under NDAs in order to enable business. This is a global role with minimal travel required. The candidate will be focused on NDA administration to include lower complexity negotiations drafting and execution. S/he will also be expected to provide support for the CA team or the broader legal team on other projects as the need may arise.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Monitor and attend to correspondence with GFs internal and external customers
- Provide advice to various functional areas of the business with respect to NDA coverage topics
- Review and respond to / redline (based upon an understanding of the terms in an NDA and a Playbook of terms) customer requested confidentiality terms and conditions
- Route NDAs for execution and follow up to ensure timely execution
- Update and maintain GFs Contract Life Management system and perform other post-execution steps and administrative tasks with respect to NDAs
- Execute routine and ad hoc analysis and reporting requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies within GFs CA processes
- Provide support to the broader legal team on special team projects
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental Health Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Education bachelors degree or diploma in Legal Studies or equivalent.
- Experience - Minimum 2 years of legal assistant paralegal legal operations or relevant work experience to include non-disclosure agreements and contract drafting.
- Skills proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer based programs (such as is encountered with a Contract Life Management (CLM) system experience with Icertis CLM a plus) contract drafting skills strong written and verbal communication skills ability to work globally and with all levels of management and effectively utilize available company resources strong positive interpersonal skills with a willingness to help others and seek out work when needed detail oriented with the ability to multitask and work independently ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of organization and task tracking strong planning and organizational skills.
