What Youll Do

  • Lead and oversee safety team across a large-scale construction site (1000 headcount / $1bn value) ensuring effective implementation of health and safety management systems.
  • Conduct audits inspections and incident investigations to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
  • Implement governance frameworks to ensure accountability consistency and compliance across the site.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to integrate safety into all phases of planning and construction.
  • Analyse assurance data to identify trends produce reports and recommend improvements.
  • Provide training mentoring and coaching to enhance safety awareness and performance.
  • Build strong relationships with clients trade partners and internal stakeholders to foster a proactive safety culture.

Who You Are

  • Experience:58 years in a health and safety leadership role within large-scale ($500M) construction projects.
  • Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Construction Management Engineering or a related field.
  • Skills:Strong knowledge of construction safety legislation standards and best practices.
  • Leadership:Proven ability to drive cultural change and influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving:Analytical mindset to address complex health and safety issues with innovative solutions.
  • Collaboration:Cooperative approach with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated: Can-do attitude.
