IMC is currently looking for a Speech Therapist to join our team on a Part-time the general supervision of the Director of Rehab Services the Speech Therapist will be responsiblefor administration management and direct application of Speech/LanguagePathology treatments and modalities asprescribed by a referring physician in the hospitals inpatient and outpatientsettings. The Speech Therapist evaluates plansdirects and treats all patients referred to speech/language Pathology. Provides treatments to restore function andprevent disability following disease or patients to obtain maximum performance and function in societywhile learning to live a routine normal life within the constraints of theirdisability.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/LICENSURE//TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of a Masters Degree in SpeechPathology from an approved school.
- Current valid SLP Licensure in Louisiana or a temporary permit granted bystate board.
- Successful completion of long termclinical rotations in inpatient and outpatient environments from an accredited ST school or one year ofrecent experience in inpatient or outpatient practice.
PRINCIPLE TASKS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate & Treat patients
- Monitor and assess patients
- Supervise delivery of treatment topatients
- Reassess patients
- Assist Director of rehab withdevelopment and maintenance of Speech policies and procedures
- Assist with scheduling of patients
- Documentation of patient care
- Assist with daily operations ofoutpatient and inpatient rehab services
