Job Summary
Were looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a deep-tech project developing AI-driven simulation software for advanced engineering and manufacturing industries.
The goal of this project is to accelerate hardware innovation through intelligent high-fidelity simulations enabling engineers to design optimize and manufacture products faster and smarter across domains like aerospace energy and automotive.
This role is ideal for a self-driven and proactive engineer who thrives in an evolving environment where not everything is structured or predefined. Youll work with a small talented team on complex technical challenges take full ownership of your deliverables and have the freedom to shape solutions from concept to deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain backend services using Python (FastAPI REST API).
- Build containerize and orchestrate services with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement GitOps workflows and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with frontend AI/ML and cloud engineers to integrate components smoothly.
- Ensure solutions are secure reliable and scalable in AWS cloud environments.
- Write clean maintainable and well-tested code and proactively suggest improvements across the stack.
Requirements
- Expertise in Python including FastAPI and REST API development.
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes Helm).
- Familiarity with GitOps CI/CD and cloud deployments (AWS preferred).
- Solid understanding of software architecture testing and performance optimization.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A self-sufficient proactive mindset comfortable working in a fast-moving less-structured startup environment where documentation is still evolving.
- Fluent in English.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with 3D geometry data or computational simulation.
- Familiarity with infrastructure security and best practices in DevOps.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL (not required but useful).
- Exposure to AI/ML or numerical simulation environments.
