Polaroid was founded in 1937 by one of the most seminal innovators of the 20th century Edwin Land. His motto was dont undertake a project unless it is manifestly important and nearly 2008 Polaroid shuttered its last factory but a group of diehard fans came together as The Impossible Project to save instant films. Over 10 years later that startup acquired what was left of Polaroid and today were again a small group of people passionate about changing the world through great products.
Job Summary
Polaroid is looking for a Sales Manager who will cover the Italian Portuguese and Spanish markets.
The Sales Manager must have a strong sales mindset and a solid track record of achieving growth and meeting sales targets. The mission of the role is to develop turnover maximize profitability and increase brand visibility within the Italian Portuguese and Spanish markets. Importantly the role requires experience in managing a complete distribution network - from distributors through retailers to the point of sale.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands brand presence within strategic accounts.
Focus on growing and developing existing clients while generating new business.
Develop turnover and sales.
Negotiate assortment promotions and product visibility.
Follow up on in-store execution: merchandising POS tools and maximizing brand visibility.
Conduct field surveys and provide training for regional sales teams.
Lead internal coordination with all departments to ensure customer satisfaction and successful in-store execution.
Measure track and analyze key account metrics.
Keep up to date with industry and market trends and best practices.
Travel to client sites (up to 2 days per week in Spain) and once every 2 months to Italy.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in Account Management or Territory Sales in Iberia (experience in the Italian market is a plus).
10 years of experience in the consumer goods industry (ideally consumer electronics).
Strong account management and relationship-building skills.
Experience managing major national accounts at head-office level.
Strong business acumen and industry expertise and highly self-motivated.
Comfortable working independently and self-managing.
Fluent in Spanish with a high level of business English; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
Must be based in Madrid (preferred) or Barcelona due to client location
