Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead a team of engineers and third party providers in the execution of wind turbine suitability assessments to meet customer and commercial needs globally.
Develop and execute a suitability assessment strategy working across commercial product line and engineering teams to yield on-time suitability assessments through people methods tools and technology development.
Utilize lean to define and execute a continuous improvement roadmap for suitability process and methods to improve team metrics. Due to the large number of interface teams making improvements in processes upstream and downstream of the MLA team is needed.
Work closely with certification and standards teams to enable compliance of suitability assessments with industry standards.
Work closely with the System Simulation software tools leader to enable process automation for cycle time reduction and elimination of non-value added tasks in suitability assessments.
Execute resource planning to balance demands on the team with capability to execute.
Lead daily management sessions for on-time delivery of commercial asks guide issue resolution associated with interfacing teams such as component teams and System Simulation disciplines.
Partner with other System Simulation teams in active council sharing lessons learned processes procedures etc.
Drive a culture that ensures and delivers outstanding product quality.
Recruit hire coach and develop the team to execute all engineering aspects of loads optimization and build a pipeline for leadership opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or related discipline
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of time

Experience with assessing component and system load tradeoffs to manage risk and optimize results.
Experience driving process improvement implementing standard work and utilizing Lean operating principles.
Strong customer focus and understanding of customer business outcomes.
