Roles and Responsibilities
Software Development: Design develop and maintain software tools used for gas turbine plant cost estimation and configuration optimization.
Cost Estimating: Apply your engineering expertise to integrate accurate cost estimating methodologies into our software.
Innovation: Continuously explore and implement new technologies and methodologies to improve our pricing models and software capabilities.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineers cost estimators and sales to ensure our software meets business needs.
Domain Expertise: Stay ahead of industry trends and advancements in gas turbine technology and cost estimating practices.
Leadership: Mentor and guide junior developers fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience ( 5 year) in software development and cost estimating preferably within the gas turbine or power generation industry.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL Python C or Java.
- Strong understanding of gas turbine plant design and cost estimation principles.
- Experience with database management and SQL.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Soft Skills:
- Passion for learning and growing domain expertise.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Proven ability to work efficiently without direct supervision. Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve results
- Strong proven previous leadership capabilities; leading teams (directly or indirectly) and driving change
Desired Characteristics
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document plan market and execute programs. Established project management skills.
