JOB PURPOSE
The Corporate Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will be responsible for providing HR support for the PAG Corporate Office in Atlanta as well as assisting as needed multiple U.S. locations. PAGs four key service areas are: Avionics Services Engine Services Component Services and Manufacturing/DER (Designated Engineering Representative) Services.
This role will provide a blend of strategic and hands-on support to sites. HRBP will be a contact for employees and leaders focusing on employee relations culture & engagement coaching & leader development as well as training. The HRBP will partner closely with HR leadership to drive a positive workplace culture ensure consistency in HR policies and provide guidance on employee-related matters. Workforce planning and talent retention will also be a key function of this role.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
- Employee Relations: Act as a resource for handling employee relations matters conducting investigations resolving workplace conflicts and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Culture & Engagement: Partner with HR leadership to foster a positive and inclusive work environment reinforcing company values and employee engagement initiatives.
- Coaching & Leadership Development: Provide coaching and guidance to management on effective leadership practices employee performance and development strategies to enhance managerial effectiveness.
- Training: Identify training needs and learning programs for employees and leaders ensuring alignment with business objectives and workforce development goals.
- HR Policy & Compliance: Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR-related policies procedures and best practices
- HR Support & Advising: Act as a resource for Corporate HR-related inquiries including benefits payroll leaves of absence and workplace accommodation escalating complex issues as needed.
- Workforce Planning & Talent Retention: Assist in identifying workforce trends turnover concerns and opportunities for retention strategies.
- Recruiting: Assist as needed in the recruitment process by screening or interviewing candidates and coordinating pre-employment screenings (e.g. I-9 verification).
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports day-to-day HR operations including assisting with processing employee changes and new hires assisting with recruiting administering compensation activities managing unemployment claims running HR reports and responding to HR inquiries. Provides support for terminations create/maintain job descriptions and helps facilitate New Hire Orientation. Conducts employee relations investigations assists with drug and alcohol program management serves as backup to HR administration functions compiles HR metrics and supports employee surveys. Contributes to key HR projects such as Affirmative Action Plan development EEO-1 reporting HR policy creation training administration and Drug and Alcohol Program audit preparation.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking bending and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting lifting carrying pushing or pulling weight up to 20 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Equipment Operated: Ability to operate office machines and equipment and troubleshoot problems with equipment.
Work Location: Precision Aviation Group Corporate Office
Travel: This role requires occasional day and overnight travel to site locations. (10% or less of the time)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines; attention to detail and ability to maintain the confidentiality of information; excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact professionalism and diplomacy; ability to read write and understand the English language and to follow verbal and written instruction; multi-tasking a necessity; thorough knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; ability to type with accuracy and speed; ability to maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and to project a positive concerned image to the public; ability to work without supervision; ability to adjust to rapidly changing circumstances and priorities.
Education/Training: Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field required or commensurate additional years of experience.
Experience:
- Three plus years of HR experience with a key focus on employee relations coaching and leadership development.
- Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing or aviation operations is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills.
Certificates/Licenses:
- HR certification (SPHR SHRM-SCP PHR SHRM-CP) preferred.
