The Working Capital Corporate Acceptance Sales Director will focus on growing commercial payment volumes by addressing corporate working capital needs with commercial payment solutions. This role involves building and expanding corporate treasury relationships in Central America and The Caribbean. The role reports into the Working Capital Sales team within B2B Acceptance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Sales and Business Development:
- Selling commercial card products platforms industry partnerships and solutions to the targeted prospects to drive commercial payment volume
- Developing acceptance deals with suppliers to position Visa as the preferred method for commercial payments (receivables and payables).
- Building and Managing Relationships:
- Building and managing a portfolio of top B2B suppliers in Central America and The Caribbean ensuring strong engagement and satisfaction.
- Developing expanding and deepening relationships with executives within top B2B suppliers
- Identifying and Expanding Opportunities:
- Identifying B2B expansion opportunities and expanding commercial volume through acquisition partnership or relationship management.
- Developing and executing strategies to move opportunities forward and optimize acceptance environments
- Consultative Approach:
- Overseeing merchants with a consultative and strategic approach to understand their card acceptance processes and challenges
- Ensuring suppliers optimize their payables environment using appropriate tools and solutions.
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to understand business needs and local market conditions.
- Analytics and Deal-Modeling:
- Driving deep analytics and deal-modeling partnering closely with regional account executives business development teams pricing and other functions.
- Leadership and Contribution:
- Contributing active leadership to the broader B2B Acceptance team and VCS organization.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD
- Solid knowledge in the payment industry specifically and mandatory for acquiring/merchant sales for domestic and cross border payment flows.
- Experienced sales and business development professional with the ability to identify opportunities develop creative tactics and manage cross-functional teams
- Expertise and experience in building and managing relationships with stakeholders (C-Level executive as CFO Corporate Treasurers) across large businesses to enable commercial payment acceptance with B2B merchants.
- A high level of energy and desire to educate both customers and internal functions on the capabilities and benefits of technical financial products by making complex solutions understandable and engaging for your audience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving experience with a challenger mindset
- Exceptional communication skills (written oral and presentation) in Spanish & English.
- Masters degree.
- Client management experience especially in a consulting environment.
