We are now looking for a Data Analyst to join our Marketing and Reader Revenue (MRR) team. As an analyst at the Guardian youll be embedded in a business-aligned analytics team supporting revenue and subscriptions growth through customer behaviour and marketing performance analysis. Youll contribute to projects across the MRR team and help shape how insight is delivered across the business.

About the Role

  • Analysing customer behaviour marketing performance and retention to support subscription and revenue growth.
  • Contributing to high-quality stakeholder-relevant analysis.
  • Maintaining our high standards for analytical rigour while also engaging more closely in insight communication and peer learning.
  • Developing strong working relationships with peers and stakeholders building trust and understanding across functions.
  • Using SQL and visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) to uncover patterns and generate insights.
  • Growing your understanding of business domains such as audience behaviour campaign performance or content engagement.

About You

  • You possess a solid foundational understanding of statistics including concepts like averages variance correlation and significance testing.
  • You have hands-on experience working with SQL and large datasets in a professional or academic setting and have experience with Python or an appetite to learn Python for data analysis.
  • You have experience delivering analysis and interpreting data to support decision-making.
  • You have familiarity with common data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Looker
  • Youre curious about the Guardians journalism and business model and interested to learn how data can be applied to support business or editorial objectives.

We operate in a hybrid environment working 3 days a week from our offices in Kings Cross and 2 days a week remotely.

Youll have 30 days of annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) with the option to purchase an additional 5 days.
