Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance financial and operational internal controls process simplification and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. Roles and Responsibilities
o Responsible to ensure all statutory regulatory filings are completed timely efficiently and in compliance with the country regulatory requirements. This includes branches legal entities and statutory consolidations from outside the US as well as the management of the statutory audit process where applicable.
o Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
o Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults People Leader or more senior team members for issues outside of defined parameters.
o Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GEV. Exchanges technical information asks questions and checks for understanding.
o Handles simple data entry work requiring face value check and correction.
o Statutory accounting system technical and process support to GEV HQ EMEA statutory community
o GL account maintenance cost center management
o B2P support on HQ supplier base (audits external service providers)
Required Qualifications
o For roles outside of the USA- This role requires basic experience in the Finance & Statutory. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
o For roles in USA - Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document plan market and execute programs.
Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems. Ability to document plan market and execute programs. Established project management skills.
Experience with Oracle SAP or Oracle HFM
Extensive Multi GAAP experience - preferably external audit / public accounting experience
Chartered Accountant / ACCA certificate
