The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of the inlet and exhaust systems in a gas turbine. Must be familiar with requisition processes and analysis tools like Ansys STAAD CATIA (additional skill).
  • Facilitates the design and layout of all components and systems that are auxiliaries to the main product such as piping valves tubes fluid delivery and removal (fuel lube hydraulics) pumps actuators tooling etc.
  • Execute the design analysis or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards practices procedures and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical and/or electrical engineering for all products.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
  • Drives quality initiatives within the team.
  • Inclusive and a team player with a global mindset.
  • Understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
  • Has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Mechanical Component. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document plan market and execute programs. Established project management skills.
