Job Summary
The Development Communicationsteam within Development and Alumni Relations is hiring for an intern who will be responsible forproviding support to the Development Communications team specifically around digital communications.
About the Work Unit:
The Department of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) assists Vanderbilt University in securing the resources both human and financial that are required to achieve its mission and goals. The Department is responsible for the identification cultivation solicitation and stewardship of individuals and organizations whose charitable objectives are consistent with those of Vanderbilt Universitys teaching and research programs. Provide general support for key projects such as website audits bench-marking around digital properties and digital content creation.
Other duties as assigned.
Primary Skills include:
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel Outlook
Working knowledge of social media content management systems (CMS) and other digital communications
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to perform and manage multiple projects on a regular basis
Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member
Ability to keep private information confidential
Effective oral and written communications skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently assuming responsibility prioritizing and carrying out duties with minimal supervision
