Job Summary
Are you a motivated enthusiastic and academically strong Early Career Teacher looking to begin your professional journey in a supportive school environment A high-performing secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a committed ECT in Maths to join their thriving Mathematics department from September. The Role
As an ECT specialising in Mathematics you will play a key role in delivering high-quality engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 with scope to grow into KS5 teaching as your confidence increases. Working with experienced colleagues you will contribute to department planning pedagogy and assessment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering well-structured and curriculum-aligned Maths lessons
Using assessment data to monitor progress and tailor teaching
Creating a positive purposeful classroom environment
Supporting students through differentiated tasks and interventions
Providing clear feedback and maintaining high expectations
Participating in department meetings planning and moderation
Engaging actively in the schools ECT programme coaching and CPD
Contributing to Maths enrichment competitions and revision clubs
This role suits someone who enjoys problem-solving logical thinking and helping students build confidence in numeracy.
