Job Summary:
The Data Governance SME role is responsible for implementing metadata management lineage tracking and data stewardship processes to support a centralized governance model. This involves deploying and configuring data governance tools defining taxonomies and developing access control procedures.
Location:Houston Texas United States
Responsibilities:
- Deploy and configure Microsoft Purview.
- Define taxonomy business glossary and metadata classification.
- Enable automated lineage capture from ADF/Fabric pipelines.
- Develop access-control matrices and stewardship procedures.
- Deliver a Data Governance Playbook for IT teams.
- Deploy and configure Microsoft Purview.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- 6 years in data governance or data management.
- Strong understanding of data quality and cataloging frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK).
- Knowledge of compliance and metadata automation.
