Position- Developer
Location: Ottawa - Onsite
Duration: Contract
Assists in the evaluation of client area applications systems/programming requirements (e.g. New enhancements or maintenance) in the preparation of application program specifications. Develops and prepares less complex computer programs typically maintenance and/or modifications of current programs or small less complex new applications.
Performs the analysis design coding and testing of systems programs; performs maintenance and modifications of programs currently in production new small programs or may write code from predefined program specifications.
Develops documentation (specifications logic flows test scripts etc.)
Formulates original solutions in troubleshooting non-routine problems and researching customer questions.
Employs standard system development tools and methods to meet requirements for validation and FDA audits.
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and Procedures.
For specialized systems (i.e. ERP MES) effectively set options to change the way the program works (configuration responsibilities)
Miscellaneous other responsibilities as required.
Required Education and Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience with system development
College Diploma or a University bachelors degree in computer science (or a related discipline)
Proficient with
Proficient with MS-SQL Transact-SQL Language and writing complex stored procedures
Proficient with MS-SQL Server Reporting Services
Ability to adapt quickly and follow the established system life cycle (SLC) process and documentation templates.
Very good analytical communication interpersonal and technical writing skills.
Experience with client-server application design and development is an asset.
Work experience in product manufacturing and/or medical device manufacturing and testing environment is an asset
